Andy Roehr serves as a Managing Director within the Business Solutions & Technology group at WG Consulting. Prior to joining WG, he led PwC’s “Smart Energy” practice in the United States, as well as leading their global Smart Energy Center of Excellence. At PwC, he advised clients around the world on regulatory and technical issues as well as the opportunities of Alternative Energy, Distributed Generation, “Smart” infrastructures, and the implications for market design. Prior to his role at PwC, he served as Vice President of Smart Energy Services at Capgemini, leading their North American practice and global competency center, managing the creation and execution of large transformation programs including new business models, systems, and organizations needed to satisfy the changing needs and expectations for energy in North America, Europe, China, and Asia. Andy delivered numerous strategic systems and technology implementation initiatives and oversaw large scale deployment projects dealing with “Smart” data acquisition, ERP and Customer system transformation, Enterprise Analytics, and highly scalable architectures and networks. Prior to Capgemini, he spent several years in Venture Capital, working with emerging concepts and companies from concept to IPO. As Director of BSG Consulting, he led their Strategic Technology Services Group, developing high performance enterprise architectures, implementing enterprise systems, and advising business and technology executives on the evolution of the role and nature of IT. Andy began his career with Bank of Boston, where he focused on high performance and network computing solutions, as well as advising the Commercial Lending – High Technology group on industry trends and risks. Andy is a graduate of Tufts University.
