Andrew is Vice President of Business Transformation Services at WG Consulting. Andrew has over 25 years of diverse, global, cross-industry experience in senior level industry, and consulting roles and is an innovative problem solver with strong leadership, communication and management skills. Before joining WG, he was the Founder and Managing Partner of Forester & Ridge, a boutique consulting firm specializing in leading Supply Chain Transformation initiatives for some of the most recognized brands in the world. He is a graduate of the top-ranked Supply Chain Management Program at the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, is married and has three daughters in college.
Representative Experience
- Led a team of 6 consultants to conduct a detailed Operational Readiness Assessment for ION Clean Energy’s highly-publicized Calpine Sutter Carbon Capture and Storage Project. The project was awarded by the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (U.S. Department of Energy) and required hand-on engagement with steering committee members from key investor, Chevron New Energies (CNE), and key technology partner Koch Engineered Solutions (KES)
- Completed a multi-phase Strategic Sourcing and Category Management focused engagement with Tennant Company comprising of three key workstreams; 1. COGS Cost savings opportunity identification and prioritization for 2024, 2. Operating Model, Organization Design, RACI Assessment, and 3. Should-Cost Modeling and Supply Market Analysis training for all Strategic Sourcing and Category Management resources. The project identified 129 individual COGS cost savings initiatives, covering $240M in addressable spend, with targeted savings of $7.8M – $19.1M
- Led a 2024 Cost Saving Opportunity Identification and Prioritization initiative for Old Castle Building Envelope. This engagement resulted in the identification of three waves of sourcing events, covering over $900M in addressable spend across 12 categories and a targeted savings of over $75M
- As a key thinking partner to the Chief Procurement Officer of Briggs and Stratton for 2 years, worked with the SCM Leadership Team on a mix of high-priority initiatives covering; Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Direct Materials Cost Reduction Initiatives, Indirect Procurement Outsourcing, and Cross-Supply Chain Capability Building
- Led a Covid-19 U.S. Meat Toppings Supply Chain Disruption initiative for Domino’s Pizza Global Headquarters
- Led the SCM Project Management Office (PMO) and a 20+ person team comprised of key internal resources and two consulting firms for the spin-off Phillips 66 from ConocoPhillips. Specific work streams included: (1) PMO (2) People (3) Work Processes (4) Technology (5) Operations and Day One Integration
- Supported the Buy-Side Due Diligence team from New Mountain Capital (PE Firm) as they completed all required operational diligence for the eventual acquisition of a high-profile portfolio company
- Developed a center-led Strategic Sourcing and Category Management operating model, organization design, and RACI for Bruce Nuclear Power
- As the Vice President and Global Account Leader for Kelly Services’ largest global account (Dow Chemical), led a 27-person account team for this award winning $300M per year account to help Dow through its merger with DuPont
